General McLane Lancers
Josh Caro
Lucas Hammer
This week we honored three County teams starting with 2-0 General McLane. The Lancers won a second thriller in a row by beating rival Fort LeBoeuf 27-26. Quarterback Josh Caro, left, threw for 134 yards and three touchdowns in the win as he has dominated his senior season. Coach Marshall McCormick is center and senior defensive standout Lucas Hammer is on the right. Hammer collected 12 tackles to help shut down the Fort LeBoeuf offense. McLane hosts Warren on Thursday.

North East Grapepickers
Ethen Ringer
Malachi Huber
Next up is North East, which picked up its first win of the season by surviving a road trip to Girard, including a 90-minute weather delay. The Grapepickers brought standout running back Ethen Ringer on the left, assistant coach Gregg McIntosh and senior standout Malachi Huber. Ringer ran for 137 yards and two touchdowns and he also set the tone on the opening kickoff. He took the ball away from the Girard returner and scored a touchdown. Huber was a vocal presence and a force on the line on both sides of the ball for the Pickers as a senior leader. North East hosts Northwestern on Friday.

Seneca Bobcats
Brayden Bernsley
Josh Natividad
Our third team this week is Seneca after the Bobcats earned their first win by beating Northwestern in Albion. The Bobcats brought Brayden Bernsley, left, head coach Jack Corey, and Josh Natividad. Both Bernsley and Natividad were the definition of unsung heroes as they did the small things that don’t show up in a boxscore. Bernsley is a tight end and linebacker and Natividad is an offensive and defensive lineman. They are leaders by example and played pivotal roles in beating the Wildcats. Seneca hosts Cambridge Springs on Friday.
